Dr Ros Kennedy
Deputy Chair of Governors – Bristol Cathedral Choir School
I am delighted to support Kick Start because I feel that the work that is done is so important.
The evidence which I saw in the feedback from young people who had attended your Heroes Programme at St Mary Redcliffe School was very powerful. Providing students with a safe place to reflect and discuss important issues, leading to a growth in their self-confidence and self esteem seemed to have such a positive impact on their attitudes and behaviour.
In an ideal world, this programme should be available to far more students, especially ones who are struggling to cope with school or life in general.
Professor Tim Bond
Head of School – Graduate School Education, Bristol University
My curiosity about this programme grew from the positive experiences of participants reported to me by their head teachers. I followed this up and asked to see the programme and the materials used and can see why it is so inspirational.
